Junior Section Sedimentary Workshop, January 2017
“It’s Sedimentary my dear Watson!”
Juniors looked at how sediments swirl and settle and form into layers by making sediment bottles. Detective skills were used to identify the parent rocks to the correct sand sample. Clay and rocks were formed into coasters or a decorative wall plaque using a conglomerate technique. Yum! We made fudge and small snack food pieces to make edible sedimentary rocks!
