2016 Roswell National Night Out

Once again, GMS members had a great time meeting people and playing rock games at Roswell National Night Out. This event is to bring public safety departments together with local communities, businesses, and civic groups. It's like a big block party!

This year Lawrence & Shirley Parker, Jay & Sue Gorday, plus Lori & Charles Carter were on hand to treat people with fun rock games and free rocks. Lawrence entertained visitors with lively games of "Rock/Not Rock". He is the best RNR emcee ever! Shirley and I helped with "Rock Plinko" and gave away stickers as well as free raffle tickets. Sue and Jay stepped in to relieve us as so we could have a chance to enjoy the festivities ourselves. Charles helped get snacks and other goodies for us and brought people to our table too.

At 7:00 and 8:00, we drew raffle tickets for beautiful fossilized coral specimens that Kim Cochran prepped for the event. The winners were thrilled and we were so happy to give them their prizes!

It was a fun night and everyone had a great time!
