Lace Agate/Chert in Georgia
Sunday, May 2, 2021
Everyone met up at the site and after a quick safety briefing spread out. It was a nice overcast day that made it much more pleasant than being in full sun as there is no shade available there.
We had a nice turn out with many new members that had never been collecting. The site did not let us down and everyone found nice pieces of lace agate throughout the piles. Some folks went home with more than they were expecting since every time they turned around, they found another great find.
Lori and Charles Carter were there for the first time since the pandemic started and we were thrilled to see them. Charles brought his cabbing machine and did some quick polishes for members.
We had a great day. Hope to see you all at the next dig.
