GMS Field Trip
Corundum in North Carolina
Saturday, May 25, 2019

The Knoxville Gem & Mineral Society graciously invited GMS to join them on their trip to collect corundum in North Carolina. Using tents to shade the digging area, members dug deep and were rewarded with some nice, well-defined crystals. Many thanks to the property owners for allowing us to dig on their property, KGMS for inviting us, David Liles for sharing photographs from the trip, and a big thank you to Daniel Miller for setting up this trip!
