GMS Field Trip
Cretaceous Fossil Location In Mississippi
Saturday, October 13, 2018

Location 3 of the epic trip was at a creek where we screened for Cretaceous fossil. It was a bit chilly, so Charles and I were landlubbers, but other people braved the weather and waded right in. Almost everyone found at least a few sharks' teeth, but the cool weather and a a full morning of fossil hounding cut this trip short, so we ended early and prepared for the next day.

Many thanks to Charles for arranging this trip and North Mississippi Gem & Mineral Society members for volunteering to identify our finds.
