As always, GMS members were rewarded with a special field trip after the October Adopt-a-Highway trash pick-up. We spread out over the spoil piles and pulled out sample after sample of ankerite, pyrite, and plenty of rocks to evaluate after they are cleaned up. Though it didn't rain much, when we felt a few big drops, we decided to call it a day and get ready for Halloween.
Many thanks to the owner of the property for giving us permission to collect there as well as Casey Sosebee for arranging another great field trip!
