Arizona Mineral & Fossil Show, Tucson, AZ

2005 & 2006

Another one of Marty Zinn's new shows (2005).  This one is located even more distant from I-10 than the Clarion show.  If your in the market for minerals from China or Russia (2005), this is the show for you!  This one also might be the one where you will eventually get the best deals as the competition will begin to heat up as the week drags on without a lot of attendance from collectors.  The dealers from China are known to give GREAT deals on minerals just before they have to pack up and travel back to China!  I don't know how the Russian Dealers will react near the end of this show.  Well worth a check back a little later on. . .   [ Later. . .  I found that the Russians would not deal but the Chinese dealers were in a selling mood.  Picked up a BIG green flourite for $25 and two heavly bladed large calcites at $20 each.]

For 2006, same deal as last year.  The place is packed with an abundance of dealers from China.  I'll go back during this next week to gage how busy the place is.  This will probably be where I will buy one of those crystal clear fluorites about three days before these guys have to pack up for the long trip back to big "C" country.
2007:  Marty Zinn has moved this show to the Quality Inn on Bensen Highway this year.  This new motel location is just off I-10 at exit 262.  Guess the dealers have finally revolted and demanded that they be brought closer to the buying action along I-10.

OR

Did Marty know that the Smuggler's Inn was to be sold and that he had to make a change or be forced out into the cold with a bunch of really irate vendors.

Unusual multi-colored Dino bone.
The Wade brothers of Moab, UT dig their own Dino bones and/or trade with local diggers for stock.
Notice the fine cellular structure of the bones pictured above and below.

Donna Wade has started to carry polished cabs and cut and polished Dino beads from their bone stockpile.
She also has other local stone cut and polished to the same dimensions as those below.
