The Jonnybull mine looked about the same as always; a lot of color laying around but not much in the way of workable turquoise.  I arrived in time for lunch with Ben, Barbara, and Kathy Davis.  Dave Millis had taken off to prospect distant pits.  After lunch Dave showed up to display some of the ore rock from the Silver Hill Mine which is a short drive or hike from the Jonnybull.  I decide to stay where I was and do some prospecting in the dumps while everyone else took of for the other mine.  We all joined up a while later for the return trip to Lordsburg.

There are at least 6 old abandon turquoise mines in this part of Hidalgo County, NM.
