2019 Atlanta Maker Faire

GMS at Atlanta Maker Faire
Atlanta, GA
Saturday, September 28, 2019
Sunday, September 29, 2019

After a brief absence from the Atlanta Maker Faire, GMS returned in full force. Bill Waggener helped visitors carve talc with a spoon. Mickey McClain and Juergen Poppelreuter explained an array of rocks, minerals, and fossils. Tom Faller demonstrated simple wire wrapping and even made special rings for visitors. Diana Poppelreuter also demonstrated wire-wrapping with beuatiful quartz crystals. Charles Carter demonstrated how to shape and polish stones on a cabbing unit with assistance from Cristina Clines. And I helped visitors make their very own bead and wire super hero!

We were a very popular booth at the Maker Faire and we had a lot of fun meeting visitors as well as other makers. It was a wonderful weekend and we are looking forward to next year's Atlanta Maker Faire!
